The best health care is the result of teamwork. Designing a plan of care, delivering on it, communicating about it, and supporting patients throughout the process—every aspect of patient care is enhanced and improved when a highly qualified team works together.
Our team of spine specialists deliver quality care to BalancedBack Total Joint Replacement patients due to three key factors: (1) most of us have worked together for over 15 years, (2) everyone has world-class skills and (3) we share an important vision that the key to a healthy spine is motion preservation, and that fusion should be a last resort. We’re passionate about our mission, and we’re excited to share our story.
All BalancedBack medical practitioners were trained in the United States and currently practice in the US, with separate licensure and clinical practices in the Cayman Islands. Our team includes our spine surgeons, a fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologist, two nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, our clinical administrator, and our patient logistics coordinator. Together, we make safety our top priority, and are committed to providing the best possible clinical outcome and experience every step of the way.
You are also an integral part of our team. As a patient, you are the best proponent for your own health care. We encourage you to ask questions throughout the process, to follow post-surgical instructions as closely as possible, to leverage your support network, and to work hard to achieve your full post-surgical potential. We also encourage all of our patients to involve family and friends at every stage of the process, and we enjoy getting to know all of you! This is a team effort.
Our vision: The key to a healthy spine is motion preservation, and that fusion should be a last resort.
